Quiet On The Set!

TUTS Produces Silent Films For
"Singin' in the Rain" Production

Set in the 1920's, Singin' in the Rain takes a fond look back at the sometimes rocky transition from silent films into talking films. Featured prominently in both the movie and in TUTS' stage production of Singin' in the Rain, silent films allowed those actors and actresses, whose voices may have kept them from doing stage work, the chance to become stars on the big screen. Recently TUTS filmed its own silentmovies for this new stage production. Following are shots from the film shoot, which was done at the Wortham Theatre. Featured in the shots are show stars Michael Gruber (Don Lockwood) and Rachel deBenedet (Lina Lamont).
