Michael Gruber, the star of the just completed Paper Mill Playhouse production of Singin' in the Rain, will appear at a gala in Oradell on Sunday to benefit ArtsPower, a Ridgewood-based nonprofit national touring theatre.

In addition to Gruber, performers scheduled to appear in Harvest of Stars Gala: An Autumn Evening with ArtsPower, include singer Tom Chapin, Gregg Edelman, the star of the Broadway musical Passion, and jazz trumpeter Byron Stripling of the Lincoln Center Classical Jazz Orchestra.

ArtsPower will also present scenes from its newest musical, Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates and a portion of its "Asian Dance Garden" production.

Gruber is also known for leading roles in such Broadway musicals as A Chorus Line, Miss Saigon, and My Favorite Year.
