Local actors featured in leading roles include Allen Galli as Moonface Martin, Ellen McLain as Mrs. Harcourt and Peter Silbert as Elisha J. Whitney. The cast is rounded out by twenty-seven primarily local actors.

Anything Goes is a seaworthy romp of mistaken identities, misbegotten romance and madcap comedy set aboard a luxury ocean liner.

Dee Hoty has distinguished herself as one of Broadway's most highly regarded leading ladies, with more than 30 theatre, television and film credits to her name. Dee has been honored with three Tony nominations for Best Actress in a Musical for her performances in The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public, The Will Rogers Follies, and Footloose. She recreated her Broadway Will Rogers role for its National Tour and received the Joseph Jefferson Award. In addition to numerous Broadway, regional theatre, film and television credits, Dee can be heard as Phyllis in the celebrated Paper Mill Playhouse CD of their revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies.

Bronson Pinchot may be best remembered for his starring role as Balki in ABC TV's "Perfect Strangers" and his recurring role in Beverly Hills Cop and Beverly Hills Cop III. He also appeared in Quentin Tarantino's "True Romance" and Stephen King's "The Langoliers". However, he has also worked extensively in theatre on Broadway, off-Broadway and regional productions. Most recently he appeared on Broadway in Putting It Together with Carol Burnett.

Michael Gruber starred last season in the original Broadway cast of Swing! He most recently finished working on the latest incarnation of the
Charles Strauss/Stephen Schwartz/ Joseph Stein musical Rags at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. Broadway credits include the original companies of Miss Saigon, My Favorite Year and The Wizard of Oz (Tinman) with Roseanne, and Cats (Munkustrap). He had the honor of being one of three Americans asked to recreate their Broadway roles for the video production of Cats.

One of the greatest musical comedies of the 1930s, Anything Goes remains best known for it is outstanding score that includes the hit Cole Porter tunes "It's Delovely," "You're The Top," "I Get a Kick Out of You," "Blow, Gabriel, Blow," and of course "Anything Goes."

The original book for Anything Goes was crafted by two long-standing literary teams: British writers Guy Bolton and P.G.Wodehouse, who collaborated on more than ten shows, and American writers Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, who, beginning with Anything Goes, worked together for nearly thirty years and produced some 15 shows.

Originally staged in 1934, the show catapulted Ethel Merman into stardom and proved to be one of the biggest hits of the 1930s; successful New York revivals were produced in 1962 and 1987. The 5th Avenue Musical Theatre Company's Producing Artistic Director David Armstrong directs this production. Sets are designed by Michael Anania of Paper Mill Playhouse. Lighting Designer is Peter Bracilano, and Sound Designer is Beth Berkeley. The 5th Avenue Musical Theatre Company was established in 1989 by The 5th Avenue Theatre Association as its resident non-profit theatre company, dedicated to producing and presenting the best in musical theatre in a subscription series for Northwest audiences. Now in its 2000-2001 season, The 5th Avenue Musical Theatre Company enjoys the support of over 25,000 subscribers.
