Casting News

Wowing the crowd as Reno Sweeney will be the illustrious Dee Hoty, who has distinguished herself as one of Broadway's most highly regarded leading ladies with more than 30 theatre, television and film credits to her name. Dee has been honored with three Tony nominations for Best Actress in a Musical for her performances in The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public, The Will Rogers Follies, and Footloose. She recreated her Broadway Will Rogers role for its National Tour and received the Joseph Jefferson Award. In addition to numerous Broadway, regional theatre, film and television credits, Dee can be heard as Phyllis in the celebrated Paper Mill Playhouse CD of their revival of Stephen Sondheim's Follies.

The hilarious Bronson Pinchot will star as Sir Evelyn Oakleigh. Bronson may be best remembered for his starring role as Balki in ABC TV's "Perfect Strangers" and his recurring role in Beverly Hills Cop and Beverly Hills Cop III. He also appeared in Quentin Tarantino's True Romance and Stephen King's The Langoliers. However, he has also worked extensively in theatre on Broadway, off-Broadway and regional productions. Most recently, he appeared on Broadway in Putting It Together with Carol Burnett.

The lovable Billy Crocker will be played by Michael Gruber, who was in the original Broadway cast of Swing!. He most recently finished working on the latest incarnation of the Charles Strauss/Stephen Schwartz/Joseph Stein musical Rags at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. Broadway credits include the original companies of Miss Saigon, My Favorite Year and The Wizard of Oz (Tinman) with Roseanne, and Cats (Munkustrap). He had the honor of being one of three Americans asked to recreate their Broadway roles for the video production of Cats.
